Joe’s life turns bleak when his furniture store burns down in a mysterious fire. Unable to receive a new loan from the bank to rebuild his business, he needs to find a way to provide for his large family of wife and three boys.

His neighbor, Mario, is a determined cage fighter looking for his big break. Coming together under Joe’s guidance they achieve success in the ring. Mario however is young and naïve, and easily influenced into a dangerous world of drugs and excess by those trying to sabotage his career.

In the ultimate climax, both men are fighting for their lives and careers, but like in any cage fight there can only be one winner. Based on a true story, The Promoter is a gripping and emotional human story set in the gladiatorial world of cage fighting.
