Dr. Samantha “Sammy” Waters, an archivist at a top secret Pentagon research facility, discovers a frozen body of a CIA agent in a long forgotten laboratory. The man uncovered is known as Agent X, a CIA operative who was thought to have died in East Berlin but who has been in a cryogenic chamber for the past thirty years. Successfully bringing him back to life, they must run from the Russians and US military who wish to recapture him. A race against the clock begins for the two fugitives, who must not only avoid being taken in by the former Cold War enemies, but also find a cure for the unearthly illness plaguing Agent X’s body. As X painfully learns: some wounds never heal - even with the help of an alien virus.
